Heading south.
I have left behind Puerta Vallarta with its beautiful beaches and women. After a relaxing day and a half I decided that I really should save up all my doing nothing energy for when I get to Cancun which is apparently heaven on earth according to every person I have talked to. So I have moved on to Guadalajara where Cesar has very generously put me up with his family, hopefully I wont burn down anything...important. I will be here for a weekend, hopefully filled with cheap liquor and loose women.
Seriously though Guadalajara is considered the cultural heart of many things that are quintessentially Mexican: tequila, sombrero, mariachis and bull fighting. So I have a lot of culture to absorb when I am recovering from my hangover.
On monday I will head onward to the deep south of Chiapas and Yucatan states to start visiting some of the ancient ruins, some of which are conveniently close to the beach.
